Richard Bach wrote those words in 1966.  They are as true now as they were then.  We feel that these words capture a basic sense of why people build and fly replica aircraft, and to a larger extent, why so many folks study history, build models, re-enact, and play war games.  

We hope to make Great War Aerodrome true to the basic philosophy described here by Richard Bach.
